A BlackPlastic Design account covers contributing findings and access to the full-resolution source imagery. It is free, and it takes about a minute. The forum keeps its own separate login — the two are not connected.

The map is the interactive view: zoom, board and side selection, the PCB outline and mounting holes, and microscope detail where it exists.
Processor-side plate Reverse-side plate
The plates are the full-resolution source photographs the map is built from — roughly 29 px/mm, with no zoom controls or outlines of their own. Covered by the licence. These open in your browser; to keep a copy, download the processor side or reverse side.
The written documentation needs no account at all, and that is deliberate. If you are mid-repair with the board in front of you, you should not have to fill in a form to read a rail voltage. The photography is the exception.
Both sides, full zoom, outline and mounting holes. Membership required.
1,053 balls charted and filterable — the XCZU5CG FBVB900 and the KLM8G1GETF eMMC. Membership required.
Component identification, package data, power rails. No account.
The open write-ups, including the retractions. No account.
Search by marking, part number or designator. No account.
Not to make the work exclusive. The photography represents a great deal of effort and is the one asset most easily lifted intact and reposted without credit. An account means there is a person on the other end and a licence they have seen. Ask and you will almost certainly get them.
No newsletter, no marketing, and your address is never passed on. If you would rather not register at all, you can still send a finding anonymously — it simply cannot be credited to you.
Sign-up and sign-in are handled entirely by Clerk, a third party whose one job is accounts. Your password never reaches this site. It is set with Clerk, stored by Clerk, and reset through Clerk. Nobody here can see it, and nobody here could tell you what it is.
This site keeps no member database. There is no table of users anywhere in it — only the board data, the components, the measurements and the findings people send in.
Your address is not read by this site at all. The code that checks whether you are a member asks Clerk one question — is this person signed in — and takes only an account identifier and a display name from the answer. It does not look at your email address, so there is nothing to store, nothing to log, and nothing to leak. If you would like to check that, the site is open about how it works and the code is available on request.
No newsletter and no marketing, ever. There is no mailing list to be on. Your address is never sold, shared or passed to anyone.
Being straight about the rest of it: visits to the site are counted, but what is recorded is a one-way hash of the network address and the date — not the address itself, and nothing tying a visit to a person. When a member opens one of the full-resolution plates, that is logged by username so it is possible to see the imagery is being used, and by roughly how many people. If you send a finding you may leave contact details, but that is yours to decide and quite separate from your account.
Password resets and email changes are handled from the sign-in page itself — press Sign in and use the “forgot password” link. If something is genuinely stuck, say so and it will get sorted.
The forum is a separate system with its own account and its own password. Changing one does not change the other.
